Social Skills Groups

MySpeechPath is excited to offer Kids Club! Enrichment Programs. This program is designed to teach the important skills of 'PLAY' to your child. All groups are structured to include targeted social-play skills, speech-language skills, motor skills, and sensory skills in a natural environment with peers.

Kids Club! Enrichment Programs groups facilitate social play skills in children, which are the precursor to academic success. They are for children that require more guidance navigating social relationships, and are conducted in a fun, structured environment. Social communication skills are the foundation to language skills, and like other skills, some children need to be taught these skills explicitly. Our groups mimic a naturalistic environment in which children learn how to interact with and respond to their peers. Groups are based on skill level with a general consideration for age.

Play Pals:

Basic foundation skills are taught. Concepts include turn taking, initiating and responding to peers, following directions, developing imaginative and associative play skills, and more!

Friendship Fun:

This group includes more advanced skills such as asking questions, improving conversational skills, cooperative play skills, following multi-step directions, and more!

Power Hour:

More advanced conversational skills are taught (starting, entering and exiting conversations with peers). Topics include how to choose friends and organize get-togethers, being a good sport, and handling conflict
